First Serio Waterfalls Opening for  2018 – Valbondione

A 315 meters high triple jump, a gush of water diving onto the valley, a breath taking landscape. It’s the Serio Waterfalls, Italy’s highest and Europe’s second highest. ones.

They open different times during summer season (discover the dates), the first opening for this year is on sunday 17th  of June.

There is only one way to reach the waterfalls and it is on foot, departure from Valbondione, a village in the Seriana Valley.  And if you like trekking, after the opening, you can hike up to Curò, a nice mountain retreat.

Donizetti Night – June 16th – Bergamo

Donizetti’s tunes will spread out of palaces and courtyards and will reach the squares, the streets and the medieval alleys of Bergamo Alta. On the third Saturday of June, from 8 p.m. till late at night, palaces, halls, squares and monuments will be filled with music and events inspired by Gaetano Donizetti’s music.

Summer Dance Festival  – May 20th / July 5th

The annual contemporary dance event turns 30 this year and presents its exciting new program.

The Spirit of the Planet May 25th / June 10th – Chiuduno

Do you know where the only indigenous tribal festival in Italy is? In Chiuduno, in the province of Bergamo. It’s called “The Spirit of the Planet” and is a journey to discover indigenous roots.

Motocross world championship – June 16th/17th – Pavia

For the second time, the Ottobiano circuit in Pavia will host the Motocross World Championship, after resounding success in 2017.

Pavia is a few kilometres from Bergamo and you can easily reach it by train or by car.

I-days – June 21st to 24th – Monza

Four days of important concerts at the Monza race track, a music festival you can’t miss: thousands of persons will meet in the wonderful park of Monza to listen to some of the biggest names on the international scene.
